AGENDA

 

 

1)      Review and Guidance on CITI Effectiveness (Jim Davis) – 20 minutes

 

                                           a.      Review of CITI role in UCLA IT decision structure

 

o       Sponsorship of multi-unit and/or campus wide university IT projects

o       Prioritization of university funded IT projects

o       Sponsorship of IT fiscal models

 

                                          b.      Review of information exchange and CITI decision processes

 

Objective: Review effectiveness of CITI and determine actions to increase effectiveness where necessary.

 

 

2)      Report on project management re-organization of Student Systems Projects (Jim Davis, Tom Lifka and Don Worth) – 10 minutes

 

Objective:  Following Don Worth’s report in November about slipping student systems project timeline, provide an informational report on steps taken to re-organize project management.

 

CITI Action: Comment and Input

 

 

3)      SRDB (Nick Reddingius) – 20 minutes

 

Objective:  Informational report that prepares CITI for possible future decisions. A detailed analysis of the Student Records Data Base shows that full functionality was not accounted for in the original student systems projects and now needs to be assimilated into the suite of student systems projects.

 

CITI Action: Comment and Input. Preparation for expected future decisions.

 

 

 

4)      Data Centers Data Gathering Project (Esther Woo-Benjamin) – 20 minutes

 

Objective:  CITI approval and support of scope and approach of data centers data gathering project as part of the Repositioning IT Initiative. Project will require the cooperation of data center managers across campus. Approval and recommendations will go to the ITFOC that will orchestrate the data gathering process with CITI backing. 

 

CITI Action:  Approval of data gathering survey and approach.

 

 

5)      EDIMI (Enterprise Directory & Identity Management Infrastructure) Policy on email addresses (Jim Davis, Don Worth) – 20 minutes

 

Objective: Address implications of ITPB approval of a policy requiring an active email address in a campus directory (used only for internal business purposes) for all faculty, staff, and students (knowledge workers).

 

CITI Action: Identify implications for implementing policy for staff
